More jewellery ideas

Hello again!!

I really must learn to do this more regularly!! Friends of mine have suggested that I need to get more jewellery on show, so I listened!

These earrings are made from gun metal eye pins and findings with pink glass beads. I saw this idea in a magazine and thought I would give it a go. Sorry, I can't remember which one it was, but one of the high street jewellery making mags. I didn't manage to keep these earrings for very long, as soon as my daughter Hannah saw them, she nabbed them! I think myself lucky that I managed to photograph them first! The picture doesn't really do them justice, they really are qiute delicate and pretty and the pink beads catch and reflect the light.
I like making delicate style necklaces and this one looks very stylish. I used green tigertail with gold findings and turquoise glass beads. I make most of my necklaces for me to wear, so I usually make something with an outfit in mind. I made this one to go with a simple black dress for an evening out, but it also looks just as good when worn as a casual item with a white t shirt and jeans.

I hope you enjoy these two items, I promise not to leave it so long next time!
Please make sure you have a look at my sisters blogs too... Dawnies Den has fabulous card designs and Thrifty Table Chic shows ideas of how to dress a table for a special occasion buying items from charity shops..
Enjoy! See you soon!
Thanks for looking!

Welcome to my blog!!

Hello and Welcome to Jubbly Juwellery!

Well I have finally decided to join blogland! After constantly hearing about my big sister Dawn's blog and then my completely computer inept other sister making a blog, I thought I ought to see what I could do!

My interest in making jewellery started after being invited to a party where I was given the opportunity of making a necklace and earrings. Having a keen interest in making different things anyway, I thought I would buy some bits and pieces and make myself some finery to compliment clothes.

This is one of the first necklaces I made. I like this style. I have used three lengths of blue tigertail and added different shades of blue glass beads and silver findings.

These earrings are made with gold findings and red glass beads. I prefer to use glass beads but I intend on using all sorts of beads as I try different styles.

Well i think this is enough for my first blog!
More next time!
